Interfiled among those letters are carbon copies of Dr. Montgomery's letters to Mrs. Plath. Other correspondents present in the collection are Bill and Hillary Clinton and other White House officials, and poet Robert Lax. A folder of miscellaneous letters includes one each from artist Norman Rockwell, poet Allen Ginsberg, and opera singer Beverly Sills, as well as an undated autograph note from Mlle. Marie d'Agoult, mistress to nineteenth-century composer Franz Liszt. Additions to the correspondence include a copy of Dr. Montgomery's autobiography and dissertation, and six albums containing notes, photographs, awards, memorabilia and writings.

This collection contains materials relating to Molenda's research, including editions 1 through 8 of his major textbook, articles he wrote, and presentations he made. The collection is comprised of two accessions of print materials gifted to IU by Stony Brook University Libraries and The Strong National Museum of Play in 2016 and 2018, respectively. These collections were brought to IU through Media School professor Dr. Raiford Guins, who is a leading expert on video game history and preservation. Notable items include complete runs or strong representation from the following publications: Antic: The Atari Resource, Amiga World, DieHard GameFan, EGM2, Game Developer, GamePro, Next Generation, Nintendo Power, and the Official U.S. Playstation Magazine.
