The Alden mss., 1951-2001, consists of correspondence and research files generated by historian Dauril Alden, 1926-, in preparation of his biography of Dutch and Portuguese colonial historian Charles Ralph Boxer, 1904-2000.

The Day mss., 1855-1906, consists of letters and papers of Silas J. Day, first lieutenant, Company G, 2nd regiment, Oregon mounted volunteers.

The Dearborn County, Ind. mss., 1826-1871, consists of nine volumes of court dockets and miscellaneous papers related to the history of Dearborn County, Indiana.

The Cookery mss., circa 1660–circa 1918, consists of bound and individual writings, often on the topic of cookery, of persons involved with cooking by practice or trade.

The Aristotle mss., 1603-1704, consists of commentaries on the works of Aristotle. At least half of the volumes concentrate on logic, but other subjects are covered as well, including physics and general philosophy.

Wizard of Oz mss., 1938-1939, is composed principally of drafts and revisions of the screenplay for the 1939 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer movie starring Judy Garland.

The Dreiser mss. III, 1928-1945, consists of several photographs and one lithograph pertaining to author Theodore Dreiser, 1871-1945.

The Sinclair mss., 1814-1968, consists of the correspondence, writings, and miscellaneous papers of author Upton Beall Sinclair, 1878-1968.

The Crist mss., 1861-1865, consists of letters to Barbara Ellen Crist, chiefly from her brother, Milton C. Crist, 1838-1864, and her future husband, John Erastus Lane, 1837-1893, both of whom were soldiers with the Ohio Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War.

The Comic Art mss., 1906-1967, consists of original illustrations for comic books, newspaper comic sections, pulp magazines, and film animations.

The Committee of Returned Volunteers mss., 1967-1970, consists of the papers of the Committee of Returned Volunteers, Bloomington Chapter. The CRV is an organization of persons who have worked in voluntary service programs in Asia, Africa, and Latin America, and in the United States.

The Clemens mss., 1929-1956, consists of letters written to author Cyril Clemen, 1902-1999, cousin of Samuel Langhorne Clemens.

The Cleland mss., 1911-1946, consists of the papers of botanist Ralph Erskine Cleland, 1892-1971. They consist chiefly of correspondence with prominent scientists on Oenothera, evening primrose.

Collection consists of revised and copy-edited typescripts, galley proofs, and correspondence for approximately fifty original short stories and novellas from the "Golden Age of Science Fiction" published in Galaxy, Beyond Fantasy Fiction, Other Worlds, Fantasy & Science Fiction, Unknown Worlds, Universe Science Fiction, IF, and other magazines.

The Cleverdon mss., 1953-1973, consists of the correspondence of British Broadcasting Corporation radio features producer Douglas Cleverdon, 1903-1987.

The Colfax mss., 1853-1884, consists of the papers of South Bend, Indiana, newspaperman, speaker of the House of Representatives, and vice-president of the United States Schuyler Colfax, 1823-1885.

The Clemens mss. II, 1945, consists of letters sent to author Cyril Clemens, 1902-1999, of Kirkwood, Missouri, concerning a symposium planned in honor of Ernie Pyle (Ernest Taylor Pyle, 1900-1945, journalist) following his death on April 18.

The Crame mss., 1774-1819, consists of the papers of brigadier general in the Spanish corps of engineers Agustín Crame, -1780.

The Courvoisier mss., 1861-1867, consists of the official papers of postmaster of Vevay, Indiana, and treasurer of Switzerland County, Indiana Frederick L. Courvoisier, 1832?-.

The Coster mss., 1877-1938, consists of letters to Lincoln collector Robert Coster, 1851?-1928, relating to Lincoln, and letters to his nephew Paul Coster, relating to Lincoln and to John Sherman.

The Cravens mss., 1850-1872, consists of the correspondence and papers of farmer, soldier, Indiana legislator, and U.S. congressman James Addison Cravens, 1818-1893.

The Crawford mss., 1849-1864, consists of letters and papers of captain, Quartermaster's department, United States volunteers, and member of the Oregon legislature Medorem Crawford, 1819-1891.

The Crawford, H. mss., 1895-1978, consists primarily of the papers and memorabilia of businessman Hanford Crawford, 1854-1930, of St. Louis, Missouri.

The Corman mss. IV, 1991-1998, consists mostly of letters from poet, translator and editor Cid Corman, 1924-2004, to poet and publisher Darrin Daniel. They relate in part to the publication of Corman's poetry by Daniel at Cityful Press, but range broadly over literary and other matters.

The Fess mss. consists of nineteen black and white undated photographs of paintings by artist Theodore Clement Steele, 1847-1926, and one of his studio in Brown County, Indiana. The photographs were made by Frank Michael Hohenberger, 1876-1963, also of Brown County, Indiana.

The Friday Musicale mss., ca. 1925-1980, consist of calendars, programs and achievement books of the Bloomington, Indiana affiliate of the National Federation of Music Clubs.

The Fox mss., 1931-1969, consist of the papers of Fontaine Talbot Fox, 1884-1964, newspaper cartoonist of "The Toonerville Trolley."

The Foster mss., 1943-1944, consist of correspondence, papers, and documents of Maxwell Evarts Foster, 1901-1983, relating to his work as director of research for Wendell Willkie in planning for Willkie's campaign for the Republican party nomination in 1944.

Four Men and a Prayer mss., 1928, consist of materials relating to the film of that title, directed by John Ford and released in 1938.

French Legal Documents mss. are those manuscripts concerned with French legal matters which have been acquired as individual pieces.

The French Lick Springs Hotel mss., 1952-1953, consists of materials on the history of the Hotel collected by Thomas Powderly Martin, 1887-1963, Consultant in Manuscripts in the Indiana University Library at the time.

English Legal Documents III, 1279-1668, consist of samples of handwriting from the thirteenth to seventeenth centuries.

The Gellert mss., 1927-1978, consist of the correspondence and writings of Lawrence Gellert, 1898-1979, composer and author of Negro Songs of Protest.

The Gilbert mss. II, 1931-1954, consists primarily of the correspondence between Carroll Atwood Wilson, 1886-1947, lawyer and collector of Gilbert and Sullivan materials, and Townley Searle, Gilbert bibliographer of London, England, concerning the sale and collecting of items relating to Gilbert and Sullivan operas.

The Gill mss., 1874, 1878-1879, consists of letters and prospectuses from various English girls' schools describing their curriculum, teachers, and environment.

The Gilbert mss., 1867-1932, consists of typescripts of plays, 1867-1874, of Sir William Schwenck Gilbert, 1836-1911, and correspondence of Townley Searle, bibliographer of Gilbert.

The Gissing mss., 1863-1958, consist of correspondence, financial records, writings, photographs, and miscellaneous materials by and about writer George Robert Gissing, 1857-1903.

The Gilmour mss., 1957-1971, consists of correspondence of John Scott Lennox Gilmour, 1906-1986, director of the University Botanic Garden, Cambridge [England] and president of the Cambridge Humanists.

The Hahn mss. II, 1942-1943, consists of correspondence urging the U.S. Government to place the name of author Emily Hahn, 1905-1997, on the list of American correspondents in Japan and Japanese-held territories to be exchanged for Japanese journalists in the United States.

The Indiana Cotton Mills mss., 1850-1947, consists of the papers of the Indiana Cotton Mills, Inc., Cannelton, Indiana. These mills were chartered by the Indiana State Legislature in 1848 under the name Cannelton Cotton Mill. Among the incorporators were such prominent men as Salmon Portland Chase, Charles Tillinghast James, Elisha Mills Huntington, and Hamilton Smith.

The Hutchinson mss., 1891-1900, consists of those cards and letters written to Thomas Hutchinson, 1856-1938, book collector, from various authors and removed from volumes formerly owned by Hutchinson.

The Hapgood mss., 1915-1951, consists of the papers of labor leader Powers Hapgood, 1899-1949.

The Hapgood, M.D., mss., 1912-1975, consists of the correspondence and writings of Socialist leaders Mary Donovan Hapgood, 1886-1973, and Powers Hapgood, 1899-1949.

​The Duval, K. D. mss., 1973-1976, consists chiefly of the correspondence between Kulgin Dalby Duval, bookseller, and 23 British bookbinders commissioned by him to produce original bindings for a catalogue and exhibition: British Bookbinding Today.

The Handley mss., 1862-1908, consists of the correspondence and papers of the family of Jesse Handley, 1803-1889, of White Oak Springs, Buckhorn Township, Brown County, Illinois.

The Harwell mss., 1943-1948, consists of letters from various writers, journalists, and artists to astrologer Pierce Harwell, 1916-1985.

The Ricketts mss., 9th-19th cent., are illuminated medieval and renaissance manuscripts assembled by Coella Lindsay Ricketts, 1859-1941, calligrapher, of Chicago, Illinois. Most of the material relates to religious matters.

The Richards mss., 1904-1922, consist of letters to London publisher Grant Richards, 1872-1948, or to his secretary, Miss P. Hemmerde.

​The Eeden mss. consists of two reels, 1908-1913 and 1914-1918, of negative microfilm of letters and postcards of Upton Beall Sinclair, 1878-1968, novelist, to Frederik Willem van Eeden, 1860-1932, poet and dramatist, from the originals in the Frederik van Eeden-Genootschap at the University of Amsterdam in Amsterdam, Holland.

​The Esarey mss., 1912-1914, consists of the reports of a survey of Indiana newspapers and the draft of a history of newspapers in Indiana based on the survey.

The Esarey mss. II, 1830-1865, consists of a commission to Jonathan Davis Esarey, 1783-1858, as associate judge of Perry county, Indiana, 1830; deed for the transfer of real estate in Crawford county, Indiana, by John Hughes to Tolbort T. Yates, 1840; land grants to Jonathan Davis Esarey, 1837, 1841, to John Hughes, 1840, 1841, and Jesse Clark Esarey, 1817-1869, soldier, 1858; a commission to Jesse Clark Esarey as an ensign in the 12th regiment, Indiana Militia, 1841; report by Jesse Clark Esarey of the Perry county Oil Rifles, 1865; certificate issued to Jesse Clark Esarey for study and drill at the school of instruction at Burnside Barracks, 1862; a bill for rations furnished for picket duty at Cross Roads near Hitt's blacksmith shop, July 13-18, 1863, at the time of Morgan's Raid by G.W. Hitt; and a diploma to Louisa E. Hight from the Monroe County Female Academy, 1856.

The Enslin mss., 1962-1972, consists of letters from poet Cid (Sidney) Corman, 1924-2004, to Theodore Enslin, 1925-2011, writer.

The Evans, Montgomery, mss., 1918-1952, are letters and papers of Montgomery Evans, 1898-1954, book collector. They consist principally of letters to Evans from literary figures. Some of them are mounted in books in the Lilly Library which came from Evans' library.

​The Fairbanks Company mss., 1917-1931, consists of records of the Fairbanks Company that manufactured piano plates at Springfield, Ohio.

​The Evans mss., 1833-1873, consists of papers of Henry B. Evans, -1847?, physician and surgeon, of Marion County, Ind., and his heirs.

​The Empire Stone Co. mss., 1902-1920, consists of the papers of the Bloomington, Indiana, based firm, Quarrymen of Indiana Oolitic Limestone, with quarries located at Smithville and in Lawrence County.

The Fitzgerald, E. mss., 1870-1920, consist of correspondence, art, writings, and translations of various artists, assembled by Edward Fitzgerald, 1809-1883, poet.

The Flanagan mss., 1861-1962, are the papers of Emma Cecelia (Rector) Flanagan, (Mrs. Edward E. Flanagan), 1870- 1964. They consist primarily of correspondence with the Dreiser and Rose families dealing with personal matters.

The Fontane, M. mss., 1879-1891, are those materials related to interoceanic canals formerly in the library of Marius Étienne Fontane, 1838-1914.

The English legal documents, 1510-1858, consist of mortgages, deeds, indentures, wills, leases, marriage settlements and contracts and powers of attorney.

The Hunter mss., 1862-1893, consists of the Civil War documents of Morton Craig Hunter, 1825-1896, brevet brigadier general and congressman from Indiana.

The Harding mss., 1843-1930, consists of the papers of Stephen Selwyn Harding, 1808-1891, lawyer, governor of Utah Territory, and chief justice of Colorado Territory.

The Harris mss., 1848-1851, consists of letters to Jonathan Newton Harris, 1815-1896, merchant and banker.
